Two discussion roundtables on the Checkout.com rooftop in the Meatpacking District.
AI agents can already find the product, fill the cart and press buy. The part after that press is still being argued: who authorizes the charge, who owns the dispute when the agent gets it wrong, and how a merchant tells a trusted agent from a bot.
Checkout.com runs payments for global merchants. Poncho, from a16z-backed Merit Systems, builds payment rails for AI agents. Both teams sit at the tables.
How the night runs
6:00pm - drinks on the roof
6:45pm - two tables, each steered by an operator: agent authorization and fraud, and what merchants need before agents check out
8:00pm - the tables open to the whole room
About 30 seats for founders, payments leads and AI decision makers building or buying agentic commerce. We review every registration by hand, and the exact address goes to approved guests.
