Best of NYC with Work-Bench: Forward Deployed Engineers!

We're back with the next edition of our "Best of NYC" series by Work-Bench! 🗽

This one's for the Forward-Deployed Engineers.

Palantir invented the role, and now every company selling AI is hustling to find great customer-facing engineers. It's quickly becoming one of the most important jobs in software — but most teams are still working out how to hire for it, what the career path looks like, and how to get the best out of the FDEs they already have. There's no playbook yet.

So we're bringing together the people who actually do the work. Expect a casual evening of stories from the field: the deployments that went sideways, what "good" actually looks like in this role, and how different teams are structuring it.

Each quarter, we host our favorite NYC operators and founders in B2B/enterprise at some of the city's best spots to connect, share stories, and swap insights. For this one we already have a great group joining from Anthropic, Sierra, Palantir, Cognition, and more.

Whether you're doing the job or hiring for it, come hang with us.

Feel free to bring a friend from the B2B/enterprise community 👋

Can't wait to see you there ✨
