A 1.5-day, hands-on hackathon to build real AI tools and agents for healthcare.

Calling all NYC engineers, PMs, founders, and hackers building at the edge of healthcare and AI. This is your chance to test that half-built idea, ship something scrappy-but-real, and meet like-minded people solving hard problems in regulated spaces. Whether you’re a healthtech veteran or just curious about deploying AI in high-stakes workflows, this event is for you. You’ll walk away with new ideas, new collaborators, and a clearer sense of what’s possible. Come for the hacking, stay for the good people, good food, and good vibes.

What to Expect

The NYC Healthcare x AI Hackathon is a 1.5-day sprint (Friday + Saturday).

You can apply individually or as a team. We’ll help match you into teams of ~4 a week or so before we kick off. We'll add everyone to a Discord and match everyone appropriately. Please clarify in the application if you're applying with a teammate.

Expect:

• Infra tools, APIs, and more available to use

• Opening talks + demos from leading voices in AI and healthcare

• Mentors on-site to help shape and refine your ideas

• Food, coffee, and plenty of time and space to build

• A supportive, no-ego environment focused on learning and shipping

This isn’t a pitch competition or demo fest. It’s dedicated time to build, learn, and connect.

Project Inspiration

A few prompts to get ideas flowing (you’re not limited to these):

• Inbox triage – Summarize or route patient messages and internal comms.

• Smart agent flows – Intake, scheduling, refills: what can an agent handle safely?

• Visit wrap-ups – Generate instructions, summaries, or next steps from notes or audio.

• Clinic ops agent – Automate forms, billing, reminders for lean care teams.

• “If this existed, I wouldn’t have burned out” – Build what your past self or old team needed.
