Recoding Medicine: Paris Matchmaking Evening

SPRIND's Recoding Medicine Challenge backs teams that unlock European health data for AI with up to €480k per team in Stage 1, with later stages up to €455k and €550k, plus coaching and investor access.

On 9 September, Foresight Institute joins SPRIND at legendary startup campus Station F to catalyze team formation for Challenge applicants.

Researchers, clinicians, engineers, domain experts and curious minds are invited to join us for semi-structured match-making, followed by plenty of time for unstructured connection, to help you find your Recoding Medicine Challenge team!

Purpose
​Europe holds some of the world's most valuable biomedical data, and most of it never reaches the researchers who could use it not because the science is hard, but because the two sides don't know each other exist, and the path to access runs through legal and organisational questions nobody answers first. This is three hours curated to help you close that gap.

• Domain experts in fields related to the Challenge, including governance, legal and policy perspectives

• Arrive early to enjoy light bites and drinks, while creating a match-making badge to indicate the role you’d contribute to a team (e.g. data provider, ML researcher, lawyer etc.)

19:00 - 19:30
• Short intros from Foresight, SPRIND, and our Paris host (English)

• Call to action & problem statement from Emmanuel Bacry (CNRS, Health Data Hub, PSL) (English)

19:30 - 20:00
• Participant Open Mic —> share a brief (one to three minutes) statement on what you’d like to contribute, how you can support, or what you're looking for in a team (English or French)

20:00 - 21:30
• Matchmaking and connections!
