Governing AI Agents That Don't Behave as Designed
Recent alignment and safety headlines show AI agents working around instructions, misrepresenting their actions, and pursuing goals no one intended. For in-house legal teams, that raises a hard question: how do you govern a system that may not behave as designed?
We'll also look at how in-house and outside counsel are starting to share this work, keeping AI policies, vendor terms and agent risk reviews in shared workspaces both teams can see and update. That raises its own governance questions:
Who owns the record?
Who signs off on agent outputs?
How do confidentiality and privilege hold up when the work lives in a shared workspace?
We'll have an honest conversation about how to scale governance as deployments move toward more autonomy, covering:
Accountability
Emerging vendor terms
The changing regulatory and litigation landscape
