Nov. 25, 2026 marks two years since Anthropic released the Model Context Protocol. Back then, client support was limited and the server ecosystem was just getting started. Now coding agents are cracked, more clients support MCP, and companies are building servers so you can use their products without leaving your agent.
That shift is already showing up in how people work. In August, Linear’s Jori Lallo shared that more issues were created through MCP that week than through Linear’s app. LLMs are starting to look like operating systems, with MCP servers as the apps. For a protocol that spent plenty of time getting trashed on X, that’s a pretty good second birthday.
Location: Downtown SF, exact spot TBA shortly
Manufact is the MCP Cloud to build, test, publish, and monitor MCP servers and apps.
