Sperm from Stem Cells: Alex Pastuszak of Paterna
About This Event
Partiful Mirror: https://partiful.com/e/AlQwVzJzeLUKfJKbcJT2
In July of 2025, Paterna announced it had created human sperm from stem cells for the first time. This breakthrough has significant potential to change reproductive technology. Not only could it allow infertile men to reproduce, but it opens the door to much more advanced forms of reproductive technology such as sperm selection and gene editing. Join us to hear Alex Pastuszak, CEO of Paterna discuss the state of the technology, the remaining scientific milestones that must be met to bring it to the clinic, and the implications for the future of human reproduction.
