WeAreDevelopers Day 0 is brought to you in Partnership with GitHub.

The Bay Area has no shortage of developer events, and most of them are built around one stack. That focus is why they work, and it leaves the harder question open: how does the whole thing actually fit together. Day 0 is the free half of the event that takes that question on. Everything it takes to build, test, secure, and ship great software in the age of AI, and the people doing it.

Build Failed, Legs Passed: 06:00 (start time 06:00 or 06:30, TBC)

• A casual morning run followed by coffee. No pace target, no distance goal, no dropping anyone

• Meet outside San Jose McEnery Convention Center, then finish at a cafe nearby (venue TBC)

• Come as you are, wake up before the talks start

Day 0 at McEnery Convention Center: 12:00 to 18:00

• Drinks, mingling and a warm-up program before the main event days

• Two mainstages of talks (agenda to be announced)

• Fireside chats hosted by VP of DevRel, Chris Heilmann

• WeAreDevelopers LIVE (and Uncut) Podcast recording

• Community Meet-Ups (Wednesday Women, Hackersquad, and more TBA)

WeAreDevelopers World Congress Pre-check-in and badge pickup: 10:00 to 19:00

• Pick up your badge a day early and skip the line for the main congress on Thursday morning

Workshops: 11:00 to 18:00

• Hands-on, small-group sessions led by industry experts (Restrictions Apply)
